Welcome, all to a brand new episode of Getting To The Truth In This Art.

This week I have the pleasure of speaking with Baltimore-based Brazilian artist Ítalo Duarte De Déa.

“Ítalo creates ink wash drawings that invite people to consider the cultural and social contexts they live in from an emotional point of view. The viewer interprets narratives through a montage of ordinary and historic images of nature, figures, and man-made spaces as if they were telling a story as they access memories. It is important to Italo to recognize through his artwork the presence of uncertainty in life, which deconstructs rigid and isolated opinions revealing a net of complex perspectives. “
